Rear End Collision Leads to Claim
If you’ve been injured in a road traffic accident (RTA), you may be entitled to claim compensation. Whatever your injuries, Treadstone Law can help you get the compensation and rehabilitation that you need.
The amount of compensation you receive will depend on the nature and severity of your injuries, and any costs or losses you’ve experienced as a result.
The amount of compensation you could claim is based on:
- Current and future loss of earnings
- Medical and travel expenses you’ve incurred
- Your care and support needs – both now and in the future
- Modifications to your home
- Mobility aids
- Your pain and suffering
When you start a claim with us we will begin by gathering information on your accident to work out who’s responsible for your injuries. We’ll also identify any rehabilitation needs you might have and help you to access the support you need.
Once we’ve established who is responsible for your injuries, we’ll work hard to get an admission of fault. In some cases this means you could get early compensation payments to cover any immediate costs you have.
At Treadstone Law we were contacted by “Mr M” who had an accident at a roundabout. He was hit from behind by a vehicle that did not stop at the “give way” markings.
The other driver attempted to say that the accident was not his fault, so we quickly visited the accident scene to take photographs of the road markings, and made a sketch map of the position of the vehicles at the time of the accident.
This evidence, together with a statement from “Mr M”, persuaded the other driver’s insurers to deal with the case.
“Mr M” was provided with a hire vehicle whilst his own car was repaired, and we obtained a generous settlement for his injuries without the need to go to Court.
